Hello, I’m Jody. As the single mom of a young son, I spent many years doing all the things I needed to do, taking care of all the things that matter in a life. As he was preparing to leave my nest I kinda lost my bearings for a while. That led me to a 14 year spirit quest in Sedona, Az. During my time there I made wonderful friends and I experienced amazing things. I went on hikes in the beauty of the red rocks and drove through ancient and majestic Oak Creek Canyon. During that time, I also received the gifts of learning and healing from an amazing mentor and dear friend, and in the process I rediscovered myself. Now I am back in Texas. Most of my family is here and I am getting to watch my beautiful grand daughter grow into a young woman as I watch my son, a single dad, doing all the things he needs to do, taking care of all the things that matter in a life.

Writing has always been my spiritual path, but has not always been my priority. It has always been on my back burner, something I only did when I needed release or expression and only shared with family or close friends. One of those shared poems led to a part time gig writing articles for a friend’s website. Those articles fueled a wish, and that wish brought me here.

This is my first blog, I hope it takes me on many grand adventures and I hope I’m good at it. Let’s go find out!
